Avarampoo is a small shrub known for its delicate green leaves and bright yellow flowers, which make it easy to Identify in nature. The plant also produces legume-type fruits. It has been traditionally valued for its wide range of health benefits, along with its uses in skincare and hair care. Botanically, Avarampoo is known as Senna auriculata (also called Cassia auriculata) and belongs to the Fabaceae family under the genus Senna. This plant is known by different names across regions. In English, it is often referred to as Tanner’s Cassia or Tanner’s Senna. In Telugu, the flowers are called Tangedu Puvvu and the plant is known as Tangedu. It is called Tarwar in Hindi, Tangedi in Kannada, Charmaranga in Sanskrit, Avaram in Malayalam, and Tarwad in Marathi.
